How to Get More From Mentor Feedback

“Bring the decision you are trying to make, not just the work you have finished.”
Give your reviewer a map
State the brief, the decision you made and the one point you are least confident about. This lets feedback land on the work that will make the greatest difference.
Ask for the principle behind the correction
A redline is useful. The reasoning behind it is reusable. Ask what condition or standard changed the judgement so you can recognise it next time.
Close with an action
Before the review ends, write down one change you will make and when you will make it. Momentum is the bridge between feedback and growth.
